Getting ready for your big day is one of the most special moments of the whole wedding process and you’ll certainly want to capture as much of it as you can. With so much to prepare, organise and enjoy, you want your morning to be as easy and stress free as possible, so we thought we’d give you a few tips on how to prepare to allow your wedding morning to flow with ease and allow your videographer to capture it exactly as it should be.

ACT NATURAL

The first tip we have for the happy couple is go with the flow, relax and enjoy the videography experience. Of course, you want your wedding video to capture every single moment, but that truly isn’t possible. Don’t worry about the videographer achieving every single shot you have dreamed of or making sure you;re smiling the ENTIRE time. What we can guarantee is that the more you relax and don’t stress about how the videography is going, the more you’ll enjoy it, the better your video will be and the relaxed atmosphere will run throughout your day. PREP YOUR BRIDAL PARTY

Have you got a couple of shots that you REALLY want to capture? For example, the father of the bride’s first glance at the wedding dress or the clink of champagne glasses at the wedding breakfast? The best advice we can give you for this is make a list and prepare your bridal party to communicate it to your videographer. Trust us, you’ll be much too preoccupied with the fact you’re getting married in a few hours, and worrying about capturing these moments should not be high up on your priority list. Make sure your bridal party reminds your videographer of the shots you would really love to have in the video and we’ll try our very best to include them.

BE PREPARED FOR SOME STAGING

We would love to say that every single shot can be captured without any staging, moving things around or repositioning. However, this isn’t always the case, and the more you’re prepared for it, the better. There may be a few shots that require you to do a TINY bit of work, whether it be waiting for a few moments to capture your bridesmaids helping you with your dress or standing still for a few moments while we capture you adjusting your cufflinks. Sometimes to capture the perfect moment that gives your video a bit of pizazz, we have to fake it until we make it. Don’t get us wrong, your whole morning will never ever be hijacked by this kind of performance, but a few staged moments can bring your video to new heights.

DON’T FEAR CHANGE

Yes, you have been imagining how this morning will go since you got engaged, but don’t panic if the morning doesn’t go exactly as planned. The timing may be slightly off, the weather may not be perfect and your flower girl may choose this morning to have a bit of a tantrum, but as long as you don’t let the unexpected phase you, you’re sure to still have a wonderful morning regardless.
